student: Jim Bentley Identified by W.B., Christie & friends Identified 18 Sep 2004 by William and Shirley Ross Identifed 26 Oct 2004 by his daughter Karen Bentley From Karen: My father, James
Bentley, son of James and Annie Bentley, was born 17 Dec 1926 in Simcoe
where he resided all of his life. He was a brother of George
("Chirp"), Gord and Harry Bentley. A pilot in the Royal Canadian
Air Force, he worked at American Can Company for more than 40 years. He
and my mother Betty (nee Elizabeth Livingstone) were married just a month
shy of 50 years. They had four children and two grandchildren. Jim was
active in Simcoe Little Theatre, was a cartoonist for the Simcoe Reformer
many years, and a member of Trinity Anglican Church. He passed away 9 Sep
2002. |
