RANKIN -- My great grandfather, Robert Rankin of Windham married Miss Sarah Stamp of Windham 21 March 1878 at Nixon. They had two children, John Robert Rankin and Gertrude Rankin. I believe that my great grandfather died and my grandmother had to support herself and children. Her children were left with friends who eventually prevented my grandmother from seeing her children -- they were lost to her. Does anyone know what happened to Sarah Stamp Rankin?  My grandmother, Gertrude, saw her last when she was only five.
